You will transition from basic daytime woodcraft to mastering everything it takes to spend a safe, comfortable night in the East Sussex wild.
Guided entirely at your own pace by an expert instructor, this extended adventure balances practical outdoor training with a thoroughly relaxed, social campfire vibe. You will build genuine confidence handling traditional tools, managing a woodland camp, and cooking over open flames. It is the perfect interactive weekend to reset your mind and disconnect from the screens.
Some of the skills you will learn
Shelter Building from Scratch: Master the structural rules of building your own wind-proof, waterproof debris shelter using raw materials found around the woods.
Night-Time Fire Management: Learn advanced fire lays, how to source slow-burning fuels, and techniques to keep a campfire safely controlled throughout the night.
Wilderness Camp Cookery: Enjoy the rewarding process of preparing, cooking, and sharing hot, hearty wilderness meals directly over the open hearth.
Essential Woodland Tool Skills: Build your confidence using bushcraft knives, saws, and axes to split logs, process materials, and carve useful camp gear.
Camp Setup & Comfort: Learn how to select the safest campsite layout, rig tarps cleanly between trees, and arrange a warm, comfortable sleeping space.
What to bring.
Clothing: Sturdy closed-toe footwear (essential for tool work), plenty of warm layers, and spare dry socks.
Sleeping Gear: A warm sleeping bag, insulation mat, and a small torch or headlamp for the night.
Protection: Waterproof jacket and insect repellent.
We Provide: All specialist bushcraft tools, safety gear, materials, tarps, and all campfire meals (Dinner & Breakfast).
